GRIPMED Orthopaedic Mobility Transfer and Securing Harness

Description

The GRIPMED Orthopaedic Mobility Transfer and Securing Harness is designed to assist caregivers and nursing staff in safely moving patients between positions — from beds to chairs, standing to sitting, or in and out of vehicles. Built for comfort and control, this harness reduces strain on both the patient and the caregiver during daily mobility tasks.

Constructed with high-strength materials, ergonomic handles, and padded support, it ensures a secure grip and smooth transitions, especially for elderly or post-operative patients.

What It Helps With

  • Transferring a person from bed to chair (or vice versa)

  • Assisting with standing from a seated position

  • Supporting movement in and out of vehicles

  • Reducing risk of injury during lifts and repositioning

Key Features

  • 45mm waist webbing (breaking strength: 22kN)

  • Tubular PVC handle grips (25mm x 100mm, breaking strength: 6kN)

  • High-density foam padding with nylon mesh lining

  • Secure foam edge binding for comfort

  • Easy to use and adjust

  • Suitable for clinical, home care, and frail care environments

How to Use

  1. Place the harness behind the patient's back and under their arms, close to the lower back.

  2. Ensure feet are on a non-slip surface.

  3. Caregiver holds handles; patient places hands between handles.

  4. Lift with the legs using a controlled, upright motion.

  5. Use the same steps in reverse when returning to a seated position.
